DOROTHY FADIMAN Producer/Director: Dorothy has been producing media with a focus on social justice and human rights since 1976 and has won more than fifty major awards. Subjects of her films range from progressive education to the story of a woman's recovery after a devastating spinal cord injury. She recently completed a five film series on HIV/AIDS in Ethiopia.  Her interest in women's issues includes a three-film series about the controversy surrounding abortion issues in the United States, "FROM the BACK-ALLEYS to the SUPREME COURT and BEYOND" and a documentary about women of courage in rural India who come out of seclusion to serve in their communities, "WOMAN by WOMAN: New Hope for the Villages of India." Her films are shown on PBS, and in many international venues. Honors include the Gold Medal from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.  She is currently writing a book: "PRODUCING with PASSION: Making Films that Make a Difference."
MATTHEW LUOTTO Principal Videographer and Consulting Editor: Matthew has spent the last eight years filming documentaries on a variety of human rights and social justice issues. He traveled to Addis Ababa to co-produce, shoot and edit a five-part series on HIV/AIDS in Ethiopia. Other projects include travels to Nicaragua to co-produce a film on the non-profit collaborative, Potters for Peace, as well as producing and directing "Lomami, An Artist's Way," a contemporary artist's retrospective in Paris. He produces for the Oakland Police Activities League, extending opportunity to low-income and urban youth of Alameda County. Matthew was trained in computer science and has a B.A. in film and digital media from the University of California at Santa Cruz.
KATIE LARKIN Associate Producer/Editor: Katie began working in the film industry as an intern at Robert De Niro's Tribeca Productions in New York City. She has gone on to produce and direct her own independent short about the heroin problem in the medieval town of Perugia, Italy. She has also worked as an Associate Creative Producer for "Days With Zahrah," which aired on KRON4 in San Francisco in 2005. Following completion of "STEALING AMERICA,"she plans to continue working in post-production.   She received her B.A. in political science and Italian literature from McGill University in Canada.
ROOPA PARAMESWARAN Assistant Editor: Roopa graduated from De Anza College with an Associate of Arts degree in film and television. She has worked on a number of independent projects, including a music video that was aired in Indian television channels, in the capacities of Assistant Director, Assistant Editor, and Director of Photography. She also holds a degree in finance from India and worked in the field of software for several years before pursuing her interest in filmmaking.  Roopa, who is a dancer, is also one of the founders of Sanhiti, a dance troupe whose mission is to promote the rich and diverse South Indian dance culture in the Bay Area. 
ERIKA LUCKETT Musician: Globally rooted Erika Luckett carves her personal story from a transcontinental upbringing. Born in Mexico with guitar propped against the cradle, Erika began exploring songwriting and music making during a unique childhood that zigzagged across the Venezuelan countrysides, Brazilian rainforests, and South American metropolises. Shortly after her arrival in the San Francisco Bay Area, she teamed up with Dorothy Fadiman and composed music for a string of Ms. Fadiman's award winning films. As both composer, singer/songwriter and citizen of the world, Erika has been
honored in various capacities, most recently as Female Artist of the Year by the world's largest independent music organization (JPF) and as one of the 100 Most Outstanding Women of the Year (along with Queen Elizabeth, Oprah Winfrey and Justice Sandra Day O'Connor) by Modern Woman Today Magazine.
